The soccer season officially began yesterday afternoon with Bryant's first high school game. He is playing on the JV team as a defender. We played against Tooele, which happens to be against a lot of Bryant's friends that he has played soccer WITH for the last few years. This was the first time he played AGAINST his friends. One time, his friend from Tooele was throwing in the ball, and Bryant called, "Tyler, over here." The entire sidelines errupted in laughter, knowing that the two boys used to play on the same team together.
Bryant's team lost 0-2, but Bryant played an amazing game. He was very aggressive and didn't give anything up easily. At the end of the game, he played forward and did a good job in that position, too. It will be interesting to see where the coach puts him in the next game.
